As always, assignments and plans are subject to change. The assignment board is "official". Note that Wed is an early release day with per 1, 3, 6 blocks of 60 min.
Chem-I (per 2,3,6):
Monday: DUE: Assignment from 6-1 and problems p181 numbers 24 thru 29. Begin Unit 3E on the Periodic Table: parts of Per Table and important terms. HW for Tues: probably NONE.
Tuesday: Quick Review from Monday's terms. Group activity on Per Table. Starting Keynote of 3E. Note that there will be a "dry" lab on block day and a quiz on 3E to-date on Friday.
Block Day: Lab Activity on Modern Mendeleev. Laptops needed.
Friday: Quiz on Periodic Table.
Chem-IA (per 7) :
Monday: going over quiz on Per Table that you took on Friday. Starting "Trends" from the periodic table (3E) (Atomic Size, Ionization Energy, Electron Affinity, etc......). Objective is for students to be able to make predictions regarding trends. HW for Tuesday: Probably none. Note that Sub-Unit Test on 3E is planned for Thursday.
Tuesday: Continuing/finishing trends and predictions. Covering Electron Dot Diagrams. Reviewing for Sub-Unit Test on 3E.
Thurs Block: Sub-Unit test.
Friday: going over test and TBA.
Chem-II (per 1):
Monday: lab practical quiz on making solutions.
Tuesday: Covering Colligative Properties of Sol'ns with problems.
Wednesday: Reviewing for Test on 15/16.
Friday: Test on 15/16.
