Sorry about the delay in posting the catchem blog. I guess I just got too caught up on watching football over the weekend.
As usual, plans and due dates are subject to changes and adjustments.
AP Chem (per 1):
Monday: covered qualitative and quantitative measurements for solution strengths. Covered percent concentrations. HW for Tues is worksheet I on percent concentrations.
Tuesday: Continuing with concentrations: Molarity and Dilutions. HW for Wed: worksheet #2.
Wed: (short period): starting lab practical activity on "making solutions". To be cont'd on Friday. Also on Friday we will plan on starting a lab activity on Solubility of KCl. Possible pre-lab assignment TBA.
Friday block: finishing lab on making solutions. Starting lab on Solubility of KCl. Note: plan on a unit test on Chapter 13 next week.... probably on Wednesday.
Chem-I (per 2,3,6):
Monday: Started Quantum Number and making an Electron Configuration Diagram. No "direct" HW, bur reminder that Project Videos are due on Monday. Also due on Monday will be the final COW: organic Alkanes (first ten Alkanes).
Tuesday: Finished covering Quantum Numbers. Learning how to apply Quantum Numbers to generalized positions on diagram via Zone Improvement Plan analogy. Possibly some Project time. Note that there will probably be a Quiz on Quantum Numbers on Block Day (Thurs or Fri this week).
Wednesday: short periods. Periods 2 and 3 can use time for project work. Per 6 and 7 will have an assembly.
Thurs/Fri block: probable quiz on Quantum Numbers. Lab Activity on Spectroscopy. Due Monday will be project videos and COW.
Chem-IA (per 7):
Monday: started review for Test. Due Tuesday will be Review Problems from review packet.
Tuesday: review problems due. Continuing review for test.
Wednesday: no class due to assembly.
Thurs Block: Test on Unit 3 (A, B, C, D, E).
