Week of March 5 to March 9, 2018

Hopefully a full, uninterupted week ahead of us, but I'm not betting on it with a potential big snow storm forecast for Wed/Thursday.   With that in mind, a reminder that all plans are subject to change and/or adjustments.

AP Chem (per 1):

Monday:  finishing procedure for Rate of Rxns lab and starting lab reports (graphing and conclusions).  The lab reports will be due on Wednesday.

Wednesday:  Lab reports due.  Covering Rxn Rate calculations, formulas and problems with examples.   There will probably be a quiz on rxn rate problems on Friday.

Friday:   finish/review rxn rate problem.  Probably quiz.

Chem-I (periods 2 and 4):

Monday:  Pre-lab questions are due.  Also due is the worksheet on Bond Types, Ions and Ionic Charges.   We will review and go over these problems and start the lab.  The lab procedure will be finished on Wednesday.  No Homework.

Wednesday:  Continuing/Finishing lab procedure, including teacher demos of melting times and conductivity tests.  Working on conclusion questions (due by end of period or beginning of class on Friday).

Friday:  Starting Binary Ionic Compounds:  formation, formulas, names.   HW:  TBD

Chem Advanced (periods 6 and 7):

Tuesday:  TEST on compounds.  Due Thursday:  Read/SSS Section 11-1 and do problems numbers 36 through 40 on page 347.

Thursday:  Tests back (maybe).  HW due from 11-1 (see above).  Starting unit on Chemical Rxns.   HW for Monday is TBD.
