We are now mid way through the last quarter. Seniors have two weeks until internships. If only the weather felt more like spring!!
As always, plans are subject to changes and/or adjustments.
AP Chem (per 1):
Tuesday: Due are the electrochemistry problems on calculating standard cell potentials. We will be doing a lab on electrolytic cells and voltaic cells. This lab will likely need to be finished on Thursday.
Thursday: Finishing lab and turning it in.
Next week we will review the unit on electrochemistry and have a test. This will likely be a "take home" test.
Chem-I (per 2 and 4):
Tuesday: Due is the worksheet on Skeleton Equations. We will be reviewing skeleton equations and symbols. We will then be going over balancing equations with lots of practice. Homework for Thursday will be a worksheet of balancing equations. Also, we will be having a "Quest" on chemical equations (skeleton equ'ns and balanceing) on Thursday OR Monday.
Thursday: Worksheet on balancing equations due. We'll either do more balancing or take a Quest. If the quest is not on Thursday, it will be on Monday.
Chem Advanced (per 6 and 7):
Monday: going over Mole Test. Note that there will be a retake for anyone wishing to bring their grade up to 80 %. Introducing Stoichiometry: mole-mole and mass-mass. Note that there will not be a class on Wed due to English AP tests. Due on Friday will be book problems page 379 numbers 40 and 42 AND reading pre-lab and taking notes. A lab prep quiz is possible using your notes from the lab packet.
Friday: Pre-lab (notes) and book problems due. Doing lab activity on Mole Relationship (mole-mole reaction).
