Tuesday:   Introduce "Redox" reactions.   Oxidation Numbers.  Identifying oxidation and reduction; identifying oxidizing and reducing agents.  HW will be a problem packet.

Wednesday block:   Continue with Redox:   rules of balancing redox rxns.   Examples.  Problems.  There will be a quiz/mini-test on Friday.

Friday:  Quiz or mini-test on Solubility Rules, Net Ionic Equations and Redox.

Chem-I (per 4 and 6):

Monday:  Covering names and formulas for "common" acids.  Finishing and turning in Hydrate lab.  There will be a "subunit test" on BI, TI and Acids on Tuesday.  Open notes will be allowed.

Tuesday:  Subunit test.  When done, working on the following (which will be due on Wed/Thurs):  Read/SSS pages 217 to 225 from Section 8-2 and do problems page 220 numbers 7 and 8 and page 247 number 46.

Wed/Thurs Block:   Going over subunit test.  Starting covalent bonding, diatomic molecules, VSEPR, coordinate covalent bonds.   Worksheet on molecular drawings which will be finished for HW.

Friday:  Worksheet on molecular drawings due.  Using drawings to introduce Polarity.   HW for Monday:  Finish problems on polarity.
