Coming back from vacation. No snow on the ground. Crazy!!! Took my daughter to college visits to UVM and Middlebury. Vermont is wonderful.
Here we go. As usual everything is subject to change and/or adjustments.
AP Chem (per 1)
Monday: Reading packet from Chapter 14 due. I realize some of this stuff was difficult, and we will go over some of the main topics in upcoming days. For today and possibly tomorrow we will be using google docs and sharing of info to complete titration curves lab activity that was started before vacation. Lab reports will be due by end of Tues class period.
Tuesday: cont/finishing lab. Starting work on Chapt 14 Kinetics. Possibly starting lab prep for Wed activity.
Wednesday block: simple and short lab on Factors that Affect Rxn Rates.
Friday: continuing w Kinetics.
Chem -1 (per 4 and 6):
Monday: finish video. HW due on Tuesday: Read/SSS 25-3 and do problems page 813 numbers 15 thru 20.
Tuesday: HW due from 25-3, see above. We will be going over quiz from before vacation and continuing w Radiation unit/keynote. Topic: nuclear fission. Probably no HW for block day.
Block Day: continue w fission and nuclear power production. Nuclear accidents. Probably starting Frontline video on Fukushima. HW: TBA.
Friday: Finishing Fukushima video (if nec). Covering Nuclear wastes. Possibly discussing nuclear fusion. Note: A unit test is planned for end of next week. HW for weekend: TBA
Chem-I Adv (per 2 and 7)
Monday: returning and going over test. Working on Assignment from Chapt 7 which is due Tues: read/sss 7-1 and do problems 3 thru 10 on page 193.
Tuesday: HW due from 7-1. Preview compounds. Comparing and contrasting Ionic vs Molecular compounds. Electronegativity differences. Worksheet to be finished for HW. Also, Pre-lab for block day.
Thursday block: electronegativity worksheet due. Pre-lab due. Lab activity on Ionic vs Molecular compounds.
Friday: finishing lab and working on conclusions. Labs due either end of period or Monday (TBA).
