Looking forward to a COOLER, more fall-like week coming up.  Hopefully not a cold (and bad) as the Patriots were during the second half of today's loss!!!

As always,  assignments and due dates are subject to change.

AP Chem (per 1):

Monday:   reviewing percent composition of compounds and doing the "mini-lab" on mole calculations.   HW for Tuesday:  None????

Tuesday:  Continuing and finishing Mole Calc lab.  Begin to cover Emp and Molec formulas for compounds    For Wednesday:   there will be a Quiz on EF/MF that will also count as pre-lab.

Wednesday:  Continue with covering EF/MF problems, examples.  Lab Activity:   Determining the EF for a Tin-Oxide product (to be finished Friday).  Homework for Friday:  Worksheet problems (odds) on EF/MF.

Friday:  Going over worksheet problems.   Finishing lab .  (Starting Stoichiometry if time allows).   HW over weekend:  None???? possible quiz on Monday on EF/MF problems.  Open notes will be allowed.

Chem-I (per 2,3,6)

Monday:  Homework due from textbook Chapter one:  SSS and problems from pages 7,8, 22, 23 and problems p 34 numbers 49-53.    Continuing with Lab Safety and Lab Equipment.   Starting going over "branches of chemistry" and "scientific method" if time allows.   Homework:  none, directly, but planning on a "sub-unit test" on lab safety on Tuesday.

Tuesday:   Lab Safety sub-unit test (notes allowed.... except for equipment key).    Covering topics from Chapt one (keynote?).  Describing pre-lab assignment, lab report format and lab scoring.  Homework for W/Th block:   answering pre-lab questions from lab packet.

Wed/Thurs Block:   Pre-lab assignment due (questions from packet).  Finishing lab safetytest (equipment identification). Starting the "Candle Lab" activity.   Due Friday:   Written description of a "real world" scenario of problem where you use the scientific method (flow chart is OK).

Friday:   Scientific Method scenario is due.  Going over lab safety/equipment sub-unit test.    Finishing lab activity and (hopefully) turning in.

Chem-IA (per 7):

Monday:  Due is Keynote slides 1 through 8.   Continue with lab safety "walk around" and equipment.  Lab safety and equipment will be included on your Unit One test on Thursday.  Homework for Tuesday:  Keynote slides 9 to end (16?) AND do a written Scientific Method scenario on a "common, everyday" type of problem .

Tuesday:  Due is Keynote slides 9 to 16 and Sci Method Scenario.   We will share scenarios and review for Test on Unit One.

Thurs Block:  TEST on Unit One and Lab Safety.   After test:   Assignment from Unit 2:   Read/SSS (notes) all of sections 3-1 and 3-2 in text.  Complete the following problems:  p 72 numbers 9 thru 14 AND page 79 numbers 18 thru 27 AND pages 97, 98 numbers 57 and 80. (looks much worse than it actually is!!!).

Friday:  HW due from Unit 2 (see above) Hopefully going over the tests (If I have them corrected).   Starting Unit Two on Sci Measurement (Q vs Q,  A vs P).
