Summer assignment update for AP and Advanced Chem

I hope you all have had a great summer.  I've had a very busy summer with my Casco Bay Adventures keeping me on the bay all summer.  If only I'd get to pay myself!!!

Reminder of upcoming summer assignments/due dates for AP and Advanced Chem.


AP Chem (per 1):

Reminder that the COMPLETED summer assignment (assigned on step-up day) is due to me on Friday, August 22.  Link to assignment is http://catchem.wikispaces.com/     You can email it to me or leave at the office on the 22nd.  Remember that all work must be shown on all calculations for full credit.  This assignment will be counted as a grade (the equiv of 3 homework grades... which may/may not be your only graded homework for the first quarter!!!!)

I've been doing the problems myself, and it took me an hour to do Chapt One assignment, particularly the conversion problems starting with #46 :)

I will have my answer key posted on catchem.wikispaces.com  soon after the 22nd, so keep your copy of the answers.

I do plan on giving you a "countable" exam on topics covered in this 3 chapter assignment on/about the first block Wednesday (Sept 3rd). 

Chem-I Advanced (per 7):

Summer Assignment for Chem-I Advanced (assigned on step-up day)


From textbook read and take notes on ALL of Chapters One and Two.   Complete problems on page 34 numbers 34-61   and page 58 numbers 35 – 56.    Packet of notes and problems due on first day of school.  

TEST on this summer work is tentatively planned for Thursday, September  4th.
