Week of Sept 3 to Sept 7.  (NOTE:   this is a general plan and is subject to change and adjustments;  always double check with the assignment list on the board for up-to-date homework assignments)

Chem-I
Tuesday, Sept 4:    Info sheets with Timelines Due.  We will be going over course info and doing an activity/discussion with timelines in terms of college and career choices.   No homework due Wed/Thurs BUT Chemistry in the News assignment is due on Friday (assigned on Tuesday).

Wed/Thurs Sept 5/6:   Books handed out/seats assigned.  We will be taking a pre-test of science and math skills and starting lab safety.   Note that Chem in the News is due Friday.  Due on Monday, Sept 10 will be assignment from text:  Read/SSS (section summary sheet) pp 7,8, 22, 23 and do problems on page 34 # 49-53....again... due MONDAY.

Friday Sept 7:   Chem in the News due.   Continuing with Lab Safety.   Note that we will be having a lab safety test either Monday or Tuesday of next week.   Also, reminder that assignment from text is due Monday  (Read/SSS (section summary sheet) pp 7,8, 22, 23 and do problems on page 34 # 49-53.)


Chem-II:

  Tuesday, Sept 4:   Student info sheets due;  we will be going over course info/syllabus.  After that we will be taking a pretest titled "What do you remember from Chem-I?".  We will use this to begin our review of the mole.

Wed Sept 5:  block period.   Books handed out.  Continue with mole review.  Starting mole calculations lab activity (probably finish it on Friday).   Assignment due on Friday:   Read/SSS in chapter 10, pages 309-311 (on Emp and Molec Formulas) and do problems page 312 numbers 45,46.

Friday, Sept 7:  Finishing mole lab/starting coverage of Emp/Molec Formulas.  HW for Monday TBA.
