I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. Only a couple of weeks left until we get to exams and summer vacation.
Here's the plans for the week:
Chem-I (periods 2 and 4):
Tuesday: Getting recent "quest" back and going over it. Introducing problem solving using conversion factors. HW will be a worksheet with problems to solve (must SHOW WORK).
Thursday: Going over HW (worksheet). Starting the MOLE CONCEPT. HW: TBD
Chem Advanced (periods 6 and 7:
Wednesday: Reviewing stoich, going over worksheet problems from Friday. Covering the topics of Limiting and Excess Reagents with examples. There will be a "QUEST" on Friday on Stoichiometry.
Friday: Quest on Stoichiometry, including LR and ER. No HW over the weekend.

Week of May 21 to May 25
Long time, no post. It looks like another busy, but sunny, week.
Here goes:
Chem Adv (periods 6 and 7):
Monday: Formal labs due. Introduction to stoichiometry: mole-mole (using mole ratios) and mass-mass. Due Wed will be problems 40 and 42 on page 379.... SHOW ALL WORK. Note that this assignment will also be used to assess your preparation for a lab on Wednesday.
Wednesday: HW due (see above). Covering percent yield. Doing a lab activity. HW for Friday is problem 48 on page 379 (on percent yield).
Friday: Labs finished/due. Continuing with stoichiometry. (mass-vol, vol-vol, LR/ER). Note that there will be a "Quest" next week (Friday???) on EF/MF/Stoich/LR/ER.
Chem-I: (periods 2 and 4):
Tuesday: Finishing unit on rxns: double replacement and combustion. Review the 5 types of rxns. Preparing for Quest.
Thursday: Quest on "types of rxns" and "predicting products).
