This is the first week of the fourth quarter. Wow! Only two class weeks until April vacation. If only the weather would start being more spring-like!
Note that Wednesday is SAT day for jrs and srs have no school.
As always, plans are subject to changes and/or adjustments.
AP Chem (per 1):
Monday: review ICE problems and LeChatellier's Principle. There will be a Mini-Test on Thursday on Equilibrium: Kc, Kp, Kp=Kc(RT)delta n, ICE problems, LeChaatellier's principle. This will be "open note". We will be starting a lab on LeChatellier's Principle today.
Thursday: Mini-Test. Continuing/finishing lab activity. Probably an assignment due for Monday.
Chem-I (periods 2 and 4):
Monday: Testbook Assignment due on molecular compounds and covalent bonds. Going over the "Quest" on ionic compounds. Covering single, double, triple bonds; diatomic molecules; simple compounds; VSEPR Theory. Homework for Thursday will be a worksheet on drawing molecules.
Thursday: Worksheet on molecules due. Covering Coordinate Covalent Bonding; polarity, "like dissolves like". For homework there will be a worksheet on molecules and polarity. There will probably also be a quiz on Monday on the topics covered this week.
Chem Advanced (per 6, 7):
Tuesday: Reviewing "the mole" and Avogadro's Number. We will be doing a lab on "Sampling with Avogadro's Number" (aka the "Pea Bean Lab"). This lab will be due on Friday (if not finished in class today).
Friday: Labs due. We will be continuing with Mole: Molar Mass and Molar Volume. Introducing the "Mole Map". Covering multiple step conversions with the mole. HW for Tuesday is TBD.
